Concussions
Concussions are a form of traumatic brain injury or TBI. Commonly, concussions are caused by a direct blow to the head, a sudden twisting or rotation of the head/neck, or a rapid back and forth movement. The actions above result in the brain hitting against the inside of the skull. This causes damage to brain cells and chemical changes in the brain.
